Good news for Pakistani pilgrims going to Arbaeen

Shiite News: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shayya’ Sabbar Al-Sudani, on the request of the Interior Minister, the Iraqi Prime Minister approved the abolition of visa fees for Pakistani pilgrims, the quota for Pakistani pilgrims during Arbaeen was also increased from fifty thousand to one lac.

Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari also participated in the meeting, the Pakistani delegation included the central general secretary of the Shia Ulema Council Allama Shabbir Maysami, Allama Iftikhar Naqvi, Allama Muhammad Hussain Akbar and others.

In the meeting, it was agreed to increase cooperation in various fields including defense and counter-terrorism
Rana Sanaullah said that Pakistan attaches great importance to fraternal relations with Iraq, Pakistani citizens go to Iraq in large numbers for pilgrimages.

On the request of the Interior Minister, the Iraqi Prime Minister approved the abolition of visa fees for Pakistani pilgrims.

On the request of the Minister of Interior, Iraqi Prime Minister also approved to increase the quota for Pakistan pilgrims during Arbaeen from fifty thousand to one lac.

In the meeting, it was also decided to provide an electronic visa facility to Pakistani investors, and instructions were given to the Ministry of Justice to ensure the early release of Pakistanis imprisoned in Iraqi jails for petty crimes and overstaying on the request of the Interior Minister.

The Interior Minister also extended an invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister to visit Pakistan on behalf of the Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Iraqi Prime Minister assured to visit Pakistan soon.
