GB Council urged Federal Govt to play its role for development of GB

Shiite News: Chairman Standing Committee Gilgit-Baltistan Council Muhammad Ayub Shah presided over an important meeting at Council Secretariat at Islamabad in which member GB Council and Political Secretary Majlis Wahdat Muslimin Gilgit-Baltistan Sheikh Ahmed Ali Noori and other distinguished members participated.

All the officials of the council attended the meeting and started it with holy recitation. In the meeting, the Bajaur blast was strongly condemned and Fatiha was recited for the martyrs.

The decisions of the previous meeting were reviewed, council decided to help the victims of the recent floods, because the flood victims are facing extreme difficulties.

And urged to work on emergency basis by allocating funds under the special package from the GB Council for the flood-affected areas.

Also, it was decided to make an urgent summary to release the member development fund for speedy working.
GB members said that Gilgit-Baltistan is a sensitive area, the feeling of deprivation of the people is increasing due to the non-cooperation of the federal government.

Therefore, the federal government should play a full role in the development of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

The series of neglect should be ended. GB Council ordered to contact the CDA immediately to take the map and the permission to construct the building of Gilgit-Baltistan Council.
