Efforts of Govt, law enforcement agencies during Muharram are commendable, Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi

Shiite News: President of Majlis Wahdat Muslim Sindh Allama Baqir Zaidi, Allama Sadiq Jafari, Ali Hussain Naqvi, Chaudhry Azhar, Zain Raza, Razi Haider and Allama Mubasher Hasan have appreciated the performance of Rangers and other law enforcement agencies during th first Ashra of the month of Muharram.

In their statement issued from Wahdat House, the leaders thanked the Sindh government, IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, for providing foolproof security and facilities for the mourning processions of the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH) Maullah Imam Hussain (AS) and martyrs of Karbala from 1st to Ashura Day.

They appreciated the efforts of all law enforcement agencies including DG Rangers Major General Azhar Waqas and Karachi Police Chief Javed Odhu.

And said that this time too, like the previous years, security agencies had made the best security arrangements in the gatherings and processions organized for the mourning of Imam Hussain (AS) in the ten days of Muharram.

Similarly, no untoward incident occurred throughout Sindh. He said that the period of mourning continues till Muharram, Safar and Rabi Al-Awwal, it is hoped that the law enforcement agencies will continue to perform their duties in the same way for the mourning gatherings of Imam Hussain (AS) in these days as well so that Protection of life and property of the citizens of Sindh will be ensured.

The leaders also appreciated the cooperation of the city government while thanking the civil institutions including the traffic police and said that the newly elected mayor should complete the remaining works in the city of Karachi as soon as possible so that the mourning for Syed-ul-Shahada Imam Hussain, AS which will continue for the next two months, can be completed without any hurdle.

The leaders described the mutual cooperation and unity of the people across Sindh as exemplary and said that during the ten days of Muharram, the citizens of Sindh without discrimination ensured their participation in the mourning of the grandson of the Prophet Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and Sindh.

It is the best example to observe mourning by the all sects with peace, love and unity throughout. He also thanked all the organizers and scouts volunteers who continued to serve and protect the mourners day and night.

The leaders condemned the terrorism in the JUI(F) rally in Bajaur while condoling with the families of those who died and the leaders of JUI.
