Commissioner Karachi assures comprehensive arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram

Shiite News: Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon has said that police rangers and civic organizations have prepared emergency plans for providing security and civic amenities on the occasion of Muharram.

On this occasion, communal harmony and religious tolerance will be established, fool-proof security will be provided on the occasion of processions and gatherings and priority steps will be taken to provide better civic amenities.

He was addressing a review meeting at the Commissioner Karachi Club. It was decided in the meeting that on the occasion of Muharram, special arrangements will be made for cleaning the routes of all important processions including the main procession and around Imambargahs.

For traffic arrangements, the traffic police will make arrangements in consultation with the administrators, for the assistance and guidance of the citizens, complaint centers will be established in the offices of the Commissioner Karachi and all the Deputy Commissioners.

The Commissioner said that all Deputy Commissioners, Police Rangers and officers of civic bodies should play their role to observe Muharram with reverence and respect and ensure better arrangements for security and civic amenities on the occasion.

He directed the Deputy Commissioners to take measures in coordination and cooperation with Ulama and religious leaders and administrators to ensure effective implementation of the proposed measures.

The meeting was told that the police has prepared a security contingency plan according to which walk-through gates will be installed for security checks at the places of processions and processions to ensure security measures and bomb disposal before the commencement of processions and processions.

The squad will carry out its checks, CCTV cameras will be installed on the roads, women police will also be deployed on this occasion.

All the Deputy Commissioners, Additional Commissioner One Attaullah Shah, Assistant Commissioner General Abid Sheikh, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters, Maryam Hasan, Senior Officers of Police, Rangers, Water and Sewerage Board, Solid Waste Management Authority, Baldia Uzmi Karachi District Municipality also participated in the meeting.

General Secretary of Jafaria Alliance Pakistan Syed Shabar Raza, Allama Furqan Haider Abidi, Allama Nisar Ahmed Qalandri, Allama Sadiq Jafri, Allama Baqir Zaidi and Shamsul Hasan Shamsi and other scholars, religious leaders and organizers were also present in the meeting.
