Shiite News: Chairman Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and said that the permission of the Swiss government to burn the Holy Quran is intolerable.
In his condemnation statement released on the social networking site Twitter, he said that he supports freedom of expression in a responsible manner with respect for religions and religious sentiments, but insulting any religion or its sanctities under the guise of freedom of expression is not permissible under any circumstances.
He further said that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s stance on the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden is commendable and worthy. Those involved should be severely punished.
