A high-level meeting held on ongoing electricity crisis in Skardu

Shiite News: Provincial Minister of Agriculture and Parliamentary Leader Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Kazim Maysam and Provincial Minister of Public Works Wazir Muhammad Salim chaired a high-level meeting on the ongoing electricity crisis in Skardu at Water and Power Complex GB.

Officials of the Department of Electricity, Gilgit-Baltistan, GB RSP and Norwegian Power Generation Company participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, a detailed briefing was held on the short-term and long-term measures to be taken to prevent the increasing loadshedding in Gilgit-Baltistan, especially Skardu city.

On this occasion, the provincial ministers also directed the Secretary Water and Power to speed up the work on Shagharthing Power Project, Gwari Power Project and Harpo Power Project and follow up on the release from the Federation.

The entire team of the Electricity Department expressed their commitment that they will do their best to immediately control the ongoing load shedding in Skardu and Gilgit city and ensure future power supply.
