Chairman MWM pays tribute to journalists

Shiite News: On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, Chairman Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has paid tribute to journalists who hold the freedom of the press.

He emphasized on development of an atmosphere having no difficulties for journalists in the performance of professional duties, there should be no restriction in highlighting the real problems of the society.

He said that the journalistic approach of compromising with the interests of the government and media owners is inappropriate, what practical steps have been taken to protect the people associated with the journalism sector.

In Pakistan this threat is now not only for journalists but with the advent of social media, bloggers and YouTubers are also under its influence, Pakistan is a very dangerous country for independent and creative journalists, which is a sad and negative aspect of the country at the global level.
