Iranian scholars delegation calls on Governor Punjab

Shiite News: A high-level delegation from Iran, comprising of education department and religious scholars, met Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore.

It was agreed to increase the links between the universities of Punjab and Iran. The vice-chancellors of the universities of Punjab were also present on the occasion.

Iranian Consul General Mehran Mowahedi, Iranian Consul General Jafar Ronas, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor, Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Chancellor University of Education, Talat Nasir Pasha, Vice-Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Professor Dr. Naseem Ahmed and Vice-Chancellor Superior University Dr. Sameera Rehman and others were also present.

The Governor of Punjab said that I hope that the visit of your delegation will create many more opportunities in the field of education and the ties between Iranian and Pakistani universities will be stronger.

Pakistan and Iran are brotherly Islamic countries with cordial relations from the beginning. There is a need to expand relations between Iran and Pakistan in trade, education and art.

Khatam-ul-Nabieen (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) authority has recently been established through an act for the teaching and learning of Islamic sciences.

In Pakistan, in 2017, the federal and Punjab provinces passed a law on compulsory teaching of the Holy Quran to all Muslim children in schools.
