America is root of problems in region, former Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi
Shiite News: The former Prime Minister of Iraq Adil Abdul Mahdi has said that the United States creates obstacles in the way of free countries, including nations that oppose foreign domination.
Adil Abdul Mahdi expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of forty Sunni scholars from Pakistan in Baghdad.
This delegation is led by Allama Amin Shaheedi. The former Iraqi Prime Minister lamented the increase in attacks and movement of Takfiri elements in Pakistan.
He mentioned the fatwa issued by the Shia religious leadership in Iraq to form a resistance bloc to fight against terrorism and defend Islamic sanctuaries.
Adil Abdul Mahdi further said that according to the order of Marja Taqlid, we support friendship and brotherhood between Islamic religions. Also, in this regard, we consider Ahle Sunnah as our brothers and two bodies and one soul.
Adil Abdul Mahdi strongly disapproved of American interference in the affairs of Islamic countries, while blaming the dark era in Pakistan and Iraq on America.
He said that we have passed a resolution in the Iraqi Parliament for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, because we believe that peace and stability in the region is linked to the withdrawal of the US.
The former Iraqi Prime Minister appreciated the realistic thinking of the leaders of the Islamic religions in Pakistan, and also appreciated the efforts of Ummat e Wahida Pakistan to bring the Ulama and Mashaykhs of the two countries closer to each other.
He said that we support the freedom of Palestine and oppose the international sanctions on Iran and Syria.
He further said that if the economies of Islamic countries become stable, foreign decisions cannot affect us.
It should be noted that the 40-member delegation of Ummat e Wahida Pakistan traveled to Iraq after visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran, where they met the prominent figures of Iraq, including the head of Majlis Alaa and the head of Hikmat Milli Iraq “Syed Ammar Al Hakim”.
