Controversial bill is like giving sharp daggers, explosives in the hands of sectarians, Allama Sajid Naqvi

Shiite News: The spokesperson of head of Shia Ulama Council (SUC) has said that Millat Jafaria Pakistan rejects the amendment of 298 A by the National Assembly through the Criminal Amendment Bill 2021.

He has said that any kind of legislation without defining and clarifying the definition of insult and other titles, its boundaries and limitations is equivalent to imposing one-sided and biased thinking on the people.

Commenting on the controversial bill passed in the National Assembly, the spokesperson of Allama Sajid Naqvi clarified that this amendment will prove to be extremely dangerous for the internal security of the country and any such legislation will lead to unrest, chaos, and division in the society.

It can never be allowed by conscious and responsible Pakistanis. He said that seriousness was not shown in the National Assembly on the issue of this important amendment, which is sad and irresponsible.

He appealed to the members of the upper house to be aware of this partisan amendment and not allow it to be passed after considering the matter seriously, otherwise, they reserved the right to take any kind of action against the amendment act.

Spokesman Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi interpreted the National Assembly’s approval of the 298A law amendment bill through the Criminal Amendment Bill 2021 yesterday as sabotaging the law and order situation in the country.

This type of legislation is like handing a sharp dagger and explosives into the hands of the extremists, as it has been observed in the past that not only the market for sectarianism has been heated up by unearthing the dead and through dirty campaigns and hateful slogans.

Rather, such a magma of hatred was cooked that heated up the market of terrorism, target killing and bloodshed in the country, which the rulers seem unable to cool till today.

The spokesperson further said that the draft bill was signed by a few people and such a controversial, biased and negative action was taken, the results of which will prove to be extremely harmful to the society.

He clarified that our leadership has been playing a key role not only in terms of religious and political harmony and unity in the society along with the unanimous legislation for many decades, so that division and hatred do not get a chance to flourish in the society.

At the end, the spokesperson urged the Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Senators and said that this is an issue of internal security and the most sensitive matter, it is hoped that it will not be approved or signed blindly, but by rejecting such a draft, the country and the nation will be saved from further chaos, division and hatred.
