APC called to formulate method of distribution of lands, Kazim Maisam

Shiite News: Minister of Agriculture Gilgit-Baltistan Kazim Maisam has said that after the success of negotiations and the government’s decision on the long-standing problem of Khalsa Sarkar, some people are trying to create conflict among the people by spreading propaganda.

“It is requested for all of them that the Khalsa land should not be occupied by the government by calling it government land, but it will be distributed among the local residents after receiving a portion under a law” clarified Agriculture Minister.

He said that the APC and all stakeholders will be called to determine the mechanism of this distribution.

After consultation, the final decision on the procedure will be taken. He said that the decision to delete the word Khalsa was made several months ago.

It does not mean that a decision has been taken to give those lands to the government.
