Pakistan Bureau of Statistics releases news population figures

Shiite News: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has released Pakistan Demographic Survey (PDS) 2020 on its website, according to which the country’s total population exceeded 220 million.

According to the PBS total population stands at 220.42 million as compared to 207.6 million in 2017.
The population includes 111.69 million males and 108.73 million females. The total count in the demographic survey included 81.01 million urban and 139.41 million rural population.

It should be remembered that according to the 2017 census, the population of Pakistan was more than 207.6 million.

On the other hand, a report of the United Nations has stated that the total population of the world has increased from 8 billion and Pakistan is 3% of it.
According to the report, the population of the world is likely to be 8 and a half billion by 2023. Since 1950, the world’s population was growing at the slowest rate. In 2020, it decreased by one percent.
