Master, slave US relationship unacceptable, says Imran Khan

Shiite News: Former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that he no longer blames the American administration for being removed from power.

According to media reports, Imran Khan’s latest remarks are being considered surprising, as the PTI chairman has been campaigning on the slogan of a foreign conspiracy ever since he was sacked from the prime ministership through a no-confidence motion.

It led to his dismissal and the US administration was behind it. Imran Khan said these things while giving an interview to the British newspaper “Financial Times”.

He said that he wants dignified relations between America and Pakistan. Regarding the role of America in the alleged conspiracy, Imran Khan commented that as far as I am concerned this matter is over now, I have moved on.

He added that our relationship with America has been like master and slave and we have been used like a hired gun, but for that I blame our governments more than America.

The PTI chairman admitted that the visit to Moscow a day before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was an embarrassment, but said the visit had been arranged months in advance.

Regarding the role of the army, he said that the army can play a constructive role for Pakistan in the future.
The former prime minister emphasized that there should be a balance in the civil-military relations, because the elected government cannot be one that is entrusted by the people, but the powers are with someone else.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that Imran Khan has made such remarks, last month he admitted to being a powerless prime minister during his tenure and said that despite being the prime minister, orders came from elsewhere.
