Arshad Sharif was patriotic and responsible journalist, Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi

Shiite News: President Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) Sindh, Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi has strongly condemned the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya and said that Arshad Sharif was a patriotic and responsible journalist, he has been punished for his patriotism.

The family is a family of martyrs who laid down their precious lives for the sake of the country and today Arshad Sharif also became a martyr.

He said that the situation of journalists’ rights around the world, especially in Pakistan, is dire. The incidents of torture, intimidation, attacks and arrests of journalists are increasing day by day in Asian countries.

He said that the brutal killing of Arshad Sharif is an attack on the freedom of the press. He strongly opposed the intervention of anti-national foreign forces in Pakistan. He always put the country’s integrity, independence and dignity first.
