SHC annuls the sentence of Saad Aziz main suspect in the Safoora incident

Shiite News: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has accepted the appeal of the main accused in the Safoora tragedy, Saad Aziz alias Tin Tin against the sentence in the case of the murder of Muhafiz Force cop, Waqar Hashmi.

SHC declared the sentence of the subordinate court null and void. In the Sindh High Court, the verdict was given on the appeal against the sentence in the case of the murder of Waqar Hashmi, the main accused in the Safoora tragedy, Saad Aziz, alias Tin Tin.

The police and the prosecution failed to present evidence against Saad Aziz the main suspect in the Safoora tragedy.

The court said in the verdict that if Saad Aziz is not accused of any crime, he should be released from jail. According to the police, accused Saad Aziz and other accomplices were accused of killing a policeman near New Karachi Power House.

The police had registered a case against the accused at the New Karachi police station in 2014. Among the other accused were Umar Jawad, Ali Rehman, and Haider alias Haseeb.

The Special Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced Saad Aziz to life imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 was imposed.
