Shiite News: Vice Chairman of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan, Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi said that the rehabilitation of flood victims is a big challenge for the entire nation.
MWM is using all its resources to help the victims. Our teams have started activities under the leadership of central and provincial officials in the affected areas and our workers are engaged in relief work day and night in more than a hundred places including South Punjab, Balochistan.
Other goals, including their relocation to safe places and provision of medical facilities, are being worked on rapidly.
He said that the pain of the affected families is the pain of the entire nation. As Muslims, we all have a shari’a responsibility to play our full role in solving the problems of the victims.
The rehabilitation of millions of displaced families is not an easy process. This is a huge responsibility on the shoulders of federal and provincial governments, political, and religious parties, welfare organizations, and state institutions.
This hour of difficulty is demanding urgent and extraordinary measures. It can lead to human tragedy. This is the time to go beyond all commitment and help the victims.
He said that the government and philanthropists should immediately arrange tents and temporary shelter houses for the homeless people so that the helpless people can get shelter under the open sky.
