Tehsil Chairman Upper Kurram calls on Minister Overseas

Shiite News: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Hussain Turi met Tehsil Chairman Upper Kurram and Leader of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM), Muzzamil Hussain Faseeh, Member Provincial Assembly Riaz Shaheen, and other notable social and political figures.

Meeting participants discussed on the law and order situation in Kurram district, development works, public issues and various issues including connecting CPEC with Kurram.

Talking to the delegations, Sajid Hussain Turi said that there is a need for mutual agreement, unity and brotherhood to create peace and order, development and business opportunities in the region, is the primary responsibility of the elected representatives of the people.

He assured to Muzzamil Hussain of all possible efforts and cooperation for the welfare of the people and the development of the region.

The Federal Minister told the delegation that he was very sorry for the damage caused by the recent rains and in this regard, he has made recommendations to the Prime Minister that due to the recent rains and floods, Kurram district should be included in the special aid package for the flood affected areas and the victims and the damages of flood victims should be redressed.

Turi said that the Kharlachi and Borki borders are being opened for all types of Afghan trade, from where the import and export of vegetables, fruits, dry fruits and other commodities will start.

He told the delegation that he is making every possible effort to extend CPEC and Motorway to Kurram district and in this regard he has discussed the plan with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Minister of Communications and other officials and they assured of linking Kurram to CPEC.
He said that connecting Kurram with CPEC will provide employment and trade opportunities to the people of the area, which will play an important role in eradicating poverty and unemployment and bringing prosperity to the area.
