Shiite News: Central Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council (SUC) of Pakistan, Allama Shabbir Hasan Maisami, has said that pilgrims going to Arbaeen by Road from Pakistan have been banned.

This issue was frequently raised for the last many days, but it is important to understand the ban.

“I have had a conversation with Pakistan’s ambassador in Iraq, he has told me that only Iranians will be able to cross the Iran-Iraq border, no one else, our Pakistani pilgrims should go by air at most 12 thousand, there is no sea route, but those who are going to go by road, the Iraqi government has banned them and the Iraqi cabinet has passed it”, said SUC leader that it has been told by our Pakistani Embassy personnel in Iraq.

Answering a question in a video posted on his Facebook account, Allama Shabbir Maisami said that we have started robust contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, the offices of the Supreme Leaders and the ambassador of Pakistan in Iraq.

The meetings have been started on this matter, hopefully, InshaAllah, on the orders of Quaid Millat Jafaria, by putting pressure on the Iraqi government, these issues will be resolved before Arbaeen.
