Salman Farsi Park, a Gift of Pak-Iran friendship inaugurated

Shiite News: Salman Farsi Park, a symbol of Pak-Iran friendship and 75 years of mutual relations, was inaugurated in the city of Karachi, Pakistan.

According to the details, the opening ceremony of Salman Farsi Park and the installation of the board were conducted by the Iranian Consul General Hussain Noorian, Sindh Government.

It was done in the presence of Provincial Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, DG Parks of Metropolitan City Karachi, Iranian Consulate officials and journalists.

Consul General Hussain Noorian congratulated the people and government of the Islamic brother country Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day and said that Salman Farsi Park was inaugurated at a time when the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Pakistan was meeting in Islamabad.

It is indicative of the good bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the commitment of both sides to promote ties.

He further said that Iran was the first country to formally accept the independence of its friend and brother country Pakistan and Pakistan was also the first country to formally accept the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah pointed to the high position of Sahabi Rasool Hazrat Salman Farsi (R.A) and described the opening of the park as a sign of Pakistan and Iran’s determination to promote bilateral cultural, economic and political relations.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah further said that saplings will also be planted in Salman Farsi Park under the Sindh Green project.

The Minister of Local Government said that there are trade, diplomatic and cultural similarities between the two countries, we are grateful that the Iranian Embassy organized this event on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

After the opening ceremony, two trees were also planted in the park premises as a symbol of Pakistan-Iran friendship, while commemorative shields and gifts were also presented to the provincial authorities of Sindh province on behalf of the Iranian Consul General.
