2012 Kohistan Shiite massacre: killers still at large

17 August, 2022 10:35

On 16 August 2012, approximately 12 militants who were dressed in military uniforms stopped multiple buses on their routes through the Kohistan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. 18 passengers were subsequently taken out of the buses, checked their identity and executed by the militants.

10 years have passed since the Shia genocide in Babusar, the worst tragedy in history, but the killers have not been arrested yet. The families of the martyrs are still waiting for justice.

After the tragedy of Chilas and Kohistan, the martyrs of the Babusar tragedy are also resting in the dust and the reports and files of the ongoing investigation and commission against these tragedies have also been buried forever in other malodorous files.

Among those martyred in the Babusar tragedy was the famous reciter of Dua-e-Kumail Qari Hanif, while other martyrs included Ghulam Nabi, Musharraf, Yaqub, Dr. Nisar, Daulat Ali, Ishtiaq, Sajid, Muhammad. Mazhar, Jalaluddin and Ghulam Mustafa are included.
