‘Astonishingly rare’ PM Shahbaz congratulates Moharram hurts Muslims

Shiite News: For the first time in the country’s history, Shahbaz Sharif, as the Prime Minister, sprinkled salt on the wounds of millions of lovers of Ahl al-Bayt by congratulating the nation on the arrival of Moharram, the month of grief and sorrow.

According to the details, Shahbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, for the first time in the 75-year history of the country, has given a message of congratulations to the entire nation on the beginning of the new Islamic year 1444 Hijri.

In his congratulatory message released on Twitter, Shahbaz Sharif has said that Happy New Year 1444 AH from me to the entire nation, I pray to Allah Almighty that the new Islamic year will be a year of peace, good and prosperity for the entire Muslim Ummah including Pakistan.

Let’s make the New Year a year of erasing mutual grudges, correcting our mistakes, and adopting religious and political tolerance.

It should be noted that since the establishment of Pakistan, no Prime Minister has ever sent a message of congratulations to the nation on the beginning of Muharram.

At the beginning of Muharram, the heads of state have always issued messages commemorating the life and sacrifice of the martyrs of Karbala and Imam Hussain AS.

Shahbaz Sharif made the entire nation sad, strong objections are coming forward and the demand for an immediate apology for this heinous act is gaining momentum.
