Takfiri terrorists attack on Agha Rahat convoy, 2 youngsters martyred, 4 injured

Shiite News: At the beginning of Muharram, Takfiri armed terrorists attacked on the convoy of Quaid Millat Jafaria Gilgit-Baltistan, Agha Syed Rahat Hussain Al-Husseini.

Incident occurred when he was returning from the flag hoisting of Hazrat Abbas (A.S) at Khumar Chowk. As a result of the indiscriminate firing, 2 young mourners were martyred in the convoy, 4 were injured, the martyrs and the injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital. The situation in the area is tense and intense firing is going on.

According to the sources, 2 Shia youths Karar Rizvi and Ahmad Ali Jam were martyred as a result of the firing. While 4 mourners were seriously injured.

Sources say that after the incident, severe tension spread in the area and firing continued for a long time.

A heavy contingent of law enforcement personnel has taken control of the area. Agha Syed Rahat Hussaini termed this incident as a conspiracy of anti-peace forces and advised all Shiites to remain peaceful.

He has said that there was a plan to fire at our vehicle from many places around the ‘Yadgar’ area, Allah Almighty saved us. He appealed to the people not to harm the life and property of any citizen in the area.
