Shiite News: Government has decided to send a delegation of Ulema to Afghanistan to soften the hardline stance of Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in extending the ceasefire on Saturday.
The decision made by the government at a point of time when the tribal elders “Jirga” failed to convince TTP for extension in ceasefire.
It is worth mentioning here that these dialogues with TTP were held under the arbitration of Taliban government.
According to sources, the 13 member delegation comprising the renowned ulema of major seminaries of Pakistan, headed by Allama Taqi Usmani will soon visit the Afghan capital.
The delegation will also include the ulema from KPK having their strong ties with Haqqani network. The delegation will conduct a one on one meeting with TTP leadership, with the help of Sirajuddin Haqqani, ulema to make the truce more effective and to put pressure on the TTP to “soften” their demands of FATA’s de-merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the FATA merger bill already passed by the Parliament.
They will talk to the TTP leaders to persuade them to refrain them from their so called “Jihad” against Pakistan. According to Federal government these talks are duly backed by civil and military leadership.
