Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that “he will fight for Pakistan till the last ball” soon after the Supreme Court annulled the deputy speaker’s decision to dismiss the no-trust motion and subsequent dissolution of the National Assembly last week.

“My message to our nation is I have always & will continue to fight for Pakistan till the last ball,” the premier wrote on his official Twitter handle without commenting on the verdict in which the top court ordered reinstating the lower house of parliament and holding no-trust vote against the PM on Saturday (April 9).

In a landmark judgement, the apex ruled that the National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri’s ruling to dismiss the no-confidence motion and subsequent dissolution of the lower house on Sunday (April 9) by the president on the PM’s advice were contrary to the law and Constitution.

PM Imran also said that he has summoned a cabinet meeting tomorrow (Friday) and will address the nation on the same day.
