Millat-e-Tashaue observed the 26th Martyr Anniversary of Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday
Shiite News: 26th Martyr Anniversary of renowned Urdu poet, Mohsin Naqvi was observed on Saturday, 15th January 2022 in Pakistan. But, unfortunately, the bereaved family of Shaheed Mohsin Naqvi is still waiting for justice on his assassination.
Naqvi was born on 5th May 1947 in Sadaat Mohallah, DG Khan, he was named Ghulam Abbas, later on, he gained fame with his pen name Mohsin.
In the memory of the Martyr poet, various poetic and literature circles held events to commemorate the dignity of Shaheed Mohsin Naqvi and paid homage to their dearest poet.
Mohsin Naqvi did his MA from Punjab University, Lahore. His first poetry collection is known as “Band Qaba”, while he was also the author of “Barg-e-Sehra, Farat-e-Fikr, Raiza-e-Haraf, Khaimai-e-Jaan, Rakh-e-Shab, and others”. He was also bestowed with the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 1994 for his poetic works.
He was shot down on 15th January 1996 by takfiri terrorist Riaz Basra at Moonlight Market, Lahore. He sustained 45 bullets on his body. He uttered the following verses after getting wounded.
