The Statement of the Russian President is a positive step towards Inter-Faith Harmony, Amin Shaheedi

Shiite News: The Head of Ummat e Wahida Pakistan, Allama Amin Shaheedi agreed with the statement of Russian President, Vladimir Putin in favor of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and termed it a positive step towards Inter-Faith Harmony.

Putin said that the blasphemy against Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH is not freedom of expression but it is a provocation of the general public and teases spiritual sentiments of the Muslims of the world. Such an attempt takes us to extremism. Freedom means respect for people around you.

While appreciating the said statement of Russian President, Allama Amin Shaheedi tweeted that the recent views of Putin regarding Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH and freedom of expression are a positive development in the struggle of Inter-Faith Harmony which is necessary for Global Peace and Tranquility. He added the boundaries of freedom of expression should be reviewed in the light of Putin’s recent guidelines.
