Shiite News: A delegation of lawyers called on Secretary General of Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Punjab Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi in Lahore. The delegation included Syed Asad Abbas Naqvi Advocate, Syed Irfan Naqvi Advocate, Hussain Mehdi Advocate, Rahat Alam Advocate, Saif Ali Advocate, Syed Majid Naqvi Advocate, Syed Shaan Haider Advocate, Syed Sim Taqwa Advocate, Adil Jafri Advocate and other lawyers.

The meeting reviewed the legal aspects of the reduction in the number of Shia representatives in other government committees, including the Muttahida Ulema Board, and discrimination. Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi informed the lawyers about the discrimination of the Mahakma-e-Auqaf, Punjab.

However, the lawyers and leaders said that any school of thought is represented in any body or committee, including the Muttahida Ulema Board, in proportion to the population. Lawyers and leaders said that in these cases, the Mahakma-e-Auqaf, Punjab was showing favoritism and Shiites were being walled off. The meeting also reviewed the legal action against the officials of the Mahakma-e-Auqaf, Punjab.

Allama Abdul Khaliq Asadi said that discrimination in institutions will not be tolerated in any way, the bureaucracy is discriminating against Shias across Punjab which will not be allowed in any way. He said that Punjab government and bureaucracy have the right to protest peacefully against this discrimination.
