Yafis Hashmi Advocate returns home after enforced disappearance of 6 months

Yafis Hashmi Advocate returns home after enforced disappearance of more than six months since August 2019.

He was handed over to the family in Islamabad. He has met his family members; especially young children.

His release came after a long legal battle which his family waged while Shia Missing Persons Release Committee conducted protest movement.

Due to the said struggle and efforts of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leadership, he finally saw himself out of enforced disappearance.

Senior Shia lawyer from Multan was taken into undeclared and illegal custody in Islamabad.

Yafis Naveed Hashmi had gone to a private hospital along with his family in Islamabad.

Although family went inside and he drove his car for parking but in the meantime the cops took him into undeclared custody for unknown reasons.

Most importantly, Yafis Naveed Hashmi had served High Court Bar Multan as vice president.

Moreover, he had served the ISO as its president during his student life. He also served the ISO as member Nazarat.

Furthermore, Shia community kept condemning the illegal and undeclared custody of patriot Pakistani citizens.

Islamabad High Court also admonished the authorities concerned for failure in tracing his whereabouts.
