Terrorist finally gets bail from PHC after antiterrorism court rejection
Peshawar High Court has granted bail to Arshad Khan whom security forces arrested for war against the state and terrorism.
The single bench comprising Justice Mussarat Hilali, heard the petitioner’s plea.
Then, PHC asked the resident of Jamrud, Khyber tribal district, to produce two surety bonds of Rs200,000 each.
However, an anti-terrorism court had earlier rejected bail plea of Arshad.
Most importantly, security forces had handed over him to Khyber region’s administration and provided a report of a joint investigation team.
That JIT reported him involved in attacks on security forces and beheading of the members of peace committee.
Earlier, the security forces arrested him in October 2016 and kept him in detention under the Action (in aid of civil power) Regulation, 2011.
