Adviser to the PM meets Iranian ambassador Mehdi Honardoost. Cooperation in the fields of media and culture will further cement Pakistan-Iran relations, said Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan.

She said this in a meeting with Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost.
Most importantly, she said that Pakistan considers Iran as an important country. And, she said, Pakistan would like to enhance cooperation in areas mutually beneficial for the people of both states.

Further, the adviser said, that media can play an effective role in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran.

She noted deep-rooted Pak-Iran ties with common religion, history and culture.
Special Assistant cited that the recent visit of the Prime Minister Imran Khan contributed in enhancing mutual understanding on range of issues.

She said that Imran’s Iran visit a manifestation of Pakistan’s keenness to further strengthen relations with Iran.
Moreover, Firdous said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has a lot of appreciation about Iran’s success story of tax collection.

She also appreciated the provision of state-of-the-art medical facilities she witnessed during her last visit to Iran. Besides, she lauded the commitment of Iranian leadership to their national cause.
The adviser said that cooperation in the fields of media and culture would also promote people to people contacts.
