Federation of Pakistan Shia seminaries welcomes registration of with education ministry. Federation or Wifaqul Madaris al Shia Pakistan hails government decision in this connection.

The vice president of said Wifaq Allama Qazi Niaz Hussain Naqvi has said that the religious seminaries affiliation with ministry of education would not affect their autonomy.

Most importantly, he noted, government has in fact, met a longstanding demand of the five federations of seminaries in Pakistan.

The veteran Shia Islamic scholar was talking to the media in Lahore.

There, he said the alliance of seminaries Ittehad-e-Tanzeemat-e-Deeniyah had also made this demand hence government decision means meeting their demand.

Allama Qazi Niaz said that government has permitted opening of bank accounts. He said government also allowed foreign students education for up to nine years.

He said due to this decision, agencies probe would also end.  

Religious seminaries affiliation with ministry of education would not affect their autonomy.
