MWM delegation meets Federal Minister Gandapur on Gilgit- Baltistan rights

A delegation of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan chapter led by Allama Agha Syed Ali Rizvi met Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur in Islamabad to inform him on genuine issues of that region.

Agha Ali Rizvi was accompanied and assisted by Arif Qanbari, Ilyas Siddiqui, Ghulam Abbas, Mohammad Saeed Shaikh, Asghar Tahiri, Shabbir Hussain, Syed Ijaz and others.
The delegates mainly Allama Agha Ali Rizvi demanded that a non-controversial qualified election commissioner be appointed for Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that all political parties should be taken on board and with their consensus new election commissioner be appointed to ensure holding of free and fair election.
The MWM GB delegation urged the minister that he must play an active role to ensure that sense of deprivation and alienation of Gilgit-Baltistan region must end during his tenure as the concerned minister.
The MWM GB delegates asked him to ensure that Gilgit-Baltistan must get its lion’s share in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
