Anniversary of Abbas Town bombing victims observed yesterday
The 6th anniversary of martyrdoms of victims of terrorism in Abbas Town Karachi was observed yesterday. More than 50 were martyred and at least 150 were injured in the twin blast in Shia-majority neighbourhood in which both Sunni and Shia Muslims were martyred. The nexus of ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba)-Lashkar-e-Jhangvi-TTP perpetrated that heinous crime against humanity.
Karachiites cannot forget the Abbas Town tragedy in which they lost many families. Many disabled survivors struggling to come out of the trauma inflicted upon them by the takfiri terrorists of banned Deobandi outfits.
Khairuddin alias Mansoor, M. Ishaq, Inamullah alias Mola, Alam Sher alias Patay, Irfan and M. Shafiq alias Bashir — all said to be associated with ASWJ’s subsidiary Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, the takfiri Deobandi terror outfit, had been arrested.
Despite the fact that the Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of the deadly attack and had the Sindh government surrender the services of the then inspector general of police along with a DIG, the trial lingered on in the court and finally Sindh government said it referred the case to the military court.
Nine others, including Fareedullah, Maulvi Khalid, Rehmat Usmani, Aslam Gul, Iqbal, Abid Muchchar, Hafiz Mehsood, Umar Mesood and Fida were still at large.
It was also reported that M Anwar alias Maulvi Abdullah were arrested for the Abbas Town bombing but it has not been made public if the culprits were awarded capital punishment and hanged to death or not?
