State authorities urged to follow legal course on missing persons
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen deputy secretary general Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi has asked the state authorities to follow legal course instead of enforced disappearance if they have any proof against any person’s involvement in any sort of crime.
“Unfortunately, innocent Shia Muslims too are subjected to enforced disappearance although they have never remained involved in any sort of anti-state activities,” he said.
Shirazi asked the authorities concerned to produce in the court of law for trial if they have any proof of involvement of any person in any crime rather than subjecting to enforced disappearance.
MWM leader said that attempts aimed at pushing Shia Muslims to wall are doomed to fail and Pakistan’s Shia Muslims would continue to struggle for inalienable rights because they believe in rule of law.
