Allama Niaz Naqvi condemns persecution of Shia Muslims in Nigeria, Saudia
Pakistan Shia Muslim Seminaries deputy chairman and eminent Islamic scholar Allama Syed Niaz Hussain Naqvi has condemned the Saudi and Nigerian regimes over unabated persecution of Shia Muslims in those two countries.
He condemned Nigerian regime’s attack on the mourning procession on Chehlum anniversary of Imam Hussain. He said that Shia Muslims struggle for legitimate inalienable rights in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia could not be suppressed by use of force.
Allama Niaz demanded Saudi monarchy to stop witch-hunt in Shia majority areas such as Qatif and grant full and equal rights to Shia citizens, instead of usurping their rights.
He urged the Nigerian regime to release Ayatollah Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, founder leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria without any delay.
