MWM will not join any pro-takfiri alliance, says Shirazi

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen deputy secretary general Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi has asserted MWM will not become part of any alliance that strengthens takfiris in Pakistan.

“MWM has established and strengthened Sunni-Shia unity by actions and not by words,” he said, addressing a seminar on ‘Islamic unity and Pakistan’s stability.’
Shirazi said that MWM always supported the oppressed people and opposed the oppressors. He said Sunni Muslims are those who raise slogans of Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (SAWW) and Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) and they are single largest majority in Pakistan.
He said there is no room for proxies of imperialist powers in Pakistan. He also condemned the inaction against the US Defence Attaché who killed a Pakistani youth while driving in Islamabad. He said the culprit must be punished for a crime because he violated traffic red signal that was the cause of mishap. He said had the US diplomat respected the traffic laws of Pakistan, he would have avoided the mishap.
