Targeted operation against Yazidi takfiri terrorists in Islamabad likely soon
Police have decided to conduct a targeted operation in Islamabad owing to security concerns. Pakistan army was earlier called in for aid to civilian forces in maintenance of law and order in the Capital City.
Pakistan Rangers will support the capital police and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the operation. The Pakistan Army may be called as well. Shiite News Correspondent reported that army was earlier contacted to aid civilian forces.
After launching a military operation against militants in the troubled North Waziristan Agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), armed forces were deployed in major cities including Islamabad due to fear of terror attacks.
