PMLQ Chief Ch Shujaat invites Allama Nasir Abbas to join grand alliance
Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q)’s President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has invited Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari to join the grand alliance of willing opposition parties who pursue 1-points agenda agreed by Shujaat and Dr Tahir ul Qadri.
Accompanied by former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi and ex-minister Raja Basharat, Chaudhry Shujaat met Allama Jafari in Islamabad and apprised him of 10-points reforms agenda. He desired possible co-operation and support for 10-point agenda for empowerment of the masses.
The meeting was seen as an invitation to a grand alliance of willing opposition parties. These meetings were part of the process started by the committee constituted during the meeting of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Dr Tahir ul Qadri for securing the support of 10-point agenda.
Shujaat said there was a dire need for betterment of the poor people who were facing hardships due to inflation, price hike of essential and other articles and unemployment but this would be only possible when the power was devolved to the lower level. He said that circumstances of Pakistan can only be set right through revolutionary reforms.
He said that PML-Q and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri’s 10-point agenda was strictly in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution of Pakistan and was not in conflict or negation of any provision of the Constitution. However it is regrettable that people in this country have not been given the rights ensured in the Constitution. He said that era of progress and prosperity can be ushered in the country through implementation of 10-point agenda.
Allama Nasir Abbas Jafari recalled that they were saying so for last one year that Nawaz-led-government was formed through electoral fraud and they have no plan to rid Pakistan of problems. He asked Mr. Shujaat to wait for June 15 MWM cabinet meeting where the issue would be discussed and MWM would also consult its ally Sunni Ittehad Council and then inform him about their response.
