Shia Muslims celebrate Eid-e-Baisat across the world

Eid-e-Baisat-e-Rasool-e-AzamShia Muslims celebrate Eid-e-Baisat to commemorate the anniversary of formal announcement of Prophet-hood of Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on Rajab 27.  

At the midnight between Rajab 26 and 27, faithful performed special prayers and recited Quran and prays in congregations and also individually to commemorate the Eid-e-Baisat in Pakistan in particular.

Shia women also held special prayers and recited prays and Holy Quran to celebrate the Eid. Children wore new dresses. They also got Eidee from elders.

Jubilant youths expressed their gratitude to God for last and final apostle and Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH)’s prophet-hood for humanity. Talking to Shiite News, they said that Muslims are proud to be Ummati of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) who they said was the most infallible leader of the world humanity.

Celebrations were also reported from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and almost all parts of the world where Shia Muslims are settled, according to Shiite News.
