protest-incholi-24april2014Shia Muslims including women, children and elderly persons staged a rally and sit-in on Shahrah-e-Pakistan near Super Highway to protest against the targeted killings of innocent Shiites.

“Stop Shia genocide,” “Death to Terrorists,” Down with terrorism and down with Sindh Government,” were the slogans raised by the protestors who marched from Masjid-e-Khair ul Amal to Shahrah-e-Pakistan. They were also placards and banners also.

They staged sit-in on main road blocking the traffic leading to superhighway as a token of protest to press the government to play their due role to establish peace in Karachi and rest of the province. They also lambasted the PMLN government for Shia genocide in rest of Pakistan.

Maulana Ali Anwar and Hasan Hashmi of the MWM spoke to the protestors. They denounced the government for their inaction against the Yazidi takfiri terrorists.

“Empty words that committees are being formed to chalk out course of action against the targeted killings are not acceptable. Do something concrete, visible and practical, we don’t see any sort of action on your part,” said Maulana Ali Anwar.

He demanded resignations of Sindh Governor and Chief Minister for their dubious role against the terrorists of banned outfits.

“To protest peacefully is our legal, constitutional and moral right that we enjoy. Inaction against the banned terrorist outfits vindicate the stance that 1.5 billion dollars and riyals made rulers to remain silent against the killings,” he said.

The MWM officials demanded that Chief Justice of Pakistan and of Sindh High Court should take suo motu notice of the unabated killings of Shia Muslims. They urged that justice should be done to the victims of terrorism and that justice should be seen to have been done.
