Thousands attend funeral of martyr Shia scholar Allama Nasir Abbas

Thousands of Shia Muslims attend the funeral of Allama Nasir Abbas, renowned Shia scholar, Allama Nasir Abbas, outside of Punjab’s Governor House on Monday. He was shot martyred by Yazidi nasbi takfiri terrorists in Lhore on Sunday night.

Ali Hussain Qummi led the namaz-e-janaza which was attended by thousands of Shiites. The mourners had staged a rally that reached Governor House and staged nightlong and daylong sit-in there.

The mourners were raising slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS). They were demanding immediate arrest of the killers.

The coffin of the martyr was to be flown to Multan in a helicopter but bad weather caused a change of route and now the coffin will be taken by road. He will be laid to rest at his native town.

His targeted assassination stoked a countrywide protest. Rallies and demonstrations were being staged to condemn the terrorist attack that claimed the life of Allama Nasir Abbas.
