Protest demonstrations, condolence meetings marked Soyem of Allama Deedar Jalbani

kharader protestProtest demonstrations and condolence meetings were held to mark the Soyem of Allama Deedar Ali Jalbani and his guard who were brutally assassinated near NED University on Tuesday.

The Soyem of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Karachi chapter’s deputy secretary general and his guard Sarfaraz Bangash witnessed Sindh-wide rallies and condolence meetings and shutdown in Thari Mir Wah where martyr Jalbani was laid to rest on Wednesday.

Main demonstration was staged outside Khoja Isna Ashri Mosque where Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Maulana Ali Anwar and Ali Anwar of the MWM spoke.

They said that terrorists were residing in some religious seminaries in Korangi, SITE and other parts of Karachi and they pose serious threat to peace of city.

They said that stern action against them together with all the terrorists involved in assassinations of Shia Muslims should be arrested and punished severely. They warned the government to ensure immediate arrest of the assassins who murdered Allama Jalbani and other eminent Shiites otherwise protest could be expanded.

They vowed that they continue to practice Shia Islam and its customs and traditions come what may and they would never bow to terrorists. They vowed that terrorist attacks on Shia Muslims could not deviate from the true path of infallible leaders of Islam.

They said that more Muslims would participate in the congregations and processions of anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS)’s Chehlum.

The protestors were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the U.S., Zionism, terrorists of outlawed Yazidi takfiri banned groups. They were also raising Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS).
