Karachi: Families of Shia Martyrs (Shohada) stage protest at Supreme Court building
The Families of Shia martyrs (Shohada) of Karachi on Thursday staged demonstration outside the Supreme Court Karachi registry building in protest against the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry negligence not to take the suo-moto action on the genocide of Shia Muslims in Karachi and Pakistan.
The families of the Shia martyrs including widows, children and parents were carrying the portraits of their beloveds demanding of the Judiciary and Civil Society organization to take the notice of the genocide of Shia Muslims in Karachi.
They were carrying the placards inscribed “Labaik Ya Hussain (as), “Mr Chief Justice we are waiting for Justiceâ€, “where is my fatherâ€, and chanting the slogans of Labaik Ya Hussain (as) and Shahadat Shahadat Saadat Saadatâ€.
They questioned that why Mr Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry you were not taken any suo-moto action on the incidents of Ashura and Arbaeen procession blasts? Why you had not taken any action on the serial target killing of Shiite Muslims in Karachi as more than 2000 Shia Muslims were killed by the terrorists including 88 Shia doctors and Physicians, Shia clerics, lawyers, Industrialists, Educationists, daily wagers and legislator within last two decades.
However, Shia Ulema Council leaders Maulana Jaffar Subhani, Maulana Nazir Abbas Taqvi, and Shia Ulema Council Advocate Ali Mohammad on Thursday presented before the Supreme Court to follow the application filed by SUC leaders for making them a party in suo-moto hearing on Karachi situation.
