Sunni Cleric: Love of the Prophet household, core of all beliefs

Syrian Mufti explains the reason for animosity of the superpowers with Iran hailing the common points between Shia and Sunni as two denominations of Islam.

Sheik Ahmad Badr Eddin Hassoun, Syrian Mufti in a meeting Â with Iran’s cultural attache, Seyyed Ali Mousavizadeh said,” Love of the household of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the core of the beliefs among world Muslims.”

“Personally I have never believed in two separate denominations of Shia and Sunni since the love of household of the Prophet is the core of all Muslims’ beliefs”, the Syrian Mufti, said.

Regarding the efforts of the enemies to separate Shia and Sunni, he said,” the amount the west funds to uproot Shi’ism is more than its military expenditure. West is after deepening the animosity between religions through ideas to flourish its own arms sale.”

He brought Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah as a sample of liberal Muslim leader in the world who following the plot of the assassination of Rafiq Hariri, former Lebanese Prime minister, faced many troubles among Lebanese community and the plot for the international hearing of Rafiq Hariri is a last blow to this brave and popular figure of Muslim world.

He hailed the efforts of Ayatollah Moahhamd Ali Taskhiri, head of the world forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought and said,” Patience and perseverance of Ayatollah Taskhiri against the assaults of the enemies is admirable.”
