Supreme Leader calls for adherence to values to make Islamic Republic more invincible

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Monday that conversion and further adherence to values and principles will make the Islamic Republic more invincible.
Addressing a gathering of Friday prayers leaders, Ayatollah Khamenei said government, officials, policy makers, diplomats and people should have realistic approach to the U.S. and West’s moves, complicated behaviors and human rights gestures.

“They should analyze them within the frameworks of the West’s deep-rooted confrontation with Islam; otherwise, we would commit mistake in making a distinction between tactics and strategies of the other party and even identifying the enemy.”

The Paramount Leader underlined importance of taking a general look at domestic and global issues within the frameworks of the West’s confrontation with Islam.

Ayatollah Khamenei said lying and pretention are distinctive features of the western policy makes. “Truly speaking, westerners do not plead guilty of massacre in Hiroshima, killing of millions of people during the first and second world wars and murder of innocent people in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq. In the future too, they would not hesitate to kill people wherever their interests are at stake. So, we should raise our strength in various fields.”

He added that during the colonial era, the West expanded its economic, political and cultural dominance over the East and Muslim world, and portrayed itself as the center of all global calculations because of its scientific and technological achievements.

The Islamic Revolution in Iran worried the West and therefore caused their plots to become more intricate, the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that Westerners tried to counter political Islam and the Islamic Awakening movement from the beginning.

“Government, authorities, politicians, diplomats and people must have a correct and inclusive view [regarding regional developments], otherwise, we will not see the truth and aside from being duped, we will also suffer,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei described lying and pretentiousness as two characteristics of Western politicians, saying when it is in their interest they will have no issue killing innocents.

“One must stand strong against the Western world because they have shown they have no compassion for anyone and contrary to their human rights claims and pretentious displays, the death of millions of humans does not trouble their conscience,” the Leader added.
