Supreme Leader says perseverance helps nation make political and economic epic

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that perseverance helps the nation make political and economic epic, advising the nation “to avoid doubt and pessimism and religious prejudice”.

Addressing a group of poets on the auspicious occasion of birthday of Fatemeh (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) or the National Women’s Day, Ayatollah Khamenei said hope, goodwill and good insight are the prerequisites to make epic.

“No epic will come about by casting doubt on national resolve, stirring pessimism and helplessness to hearts of the people and encouraging isolation, laziness and inaction.”

The Supreme Leader congratulated the nation on the Women’s Day, at the same time criticized the western lifestyle downgrading women and lack of the honor Islam confers on women introducing Fatemeh as a universal model for women. “The view of Islam and Quran to social and personal rights of women and men is the most logical, the most delicate and the most practical in its kind.”

“There is no difference between men and women in terms of spirituality and the social and personal rights,” said Ayatollah Khamenei, noting that respect for women should be observed and they deserve to be treated with typical Islamic kindness.
