ISO and MWM to stage sit-in if Nasir Shirazi not produced in court on Nov 16
Imamia Students Organisation and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leaders decided at a joint meeting that they would begin staging a sit-in in Lahore if Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi is not produced on the orders of Lahore High Court on November 16 hearing of his kidnapping case.
Ansar Mehdi, ISO president and Allama Syed Mubarak Mousavi, MWM Punjab chapter chief presided over a joint meeting of the ISO and MWM at the Wahdat House in Lahore where leaders of the two parties thrashed out their possible options.
They decided to continue their ongoing protest campaign and intensify that campaign if Nasir Shirazi was not produced in the court on Nov.16.
They demanded the Army Chief and Chief Justice of Pakistan that they should also play their role in upholding rule of law in Pakistan and ensure release of Nasir Shirazi forthwith. They vowed that would pursue all sorts of peaceful, democratic and legal options for release of Shirazi.
