Sunni-Shia unity marked Moharram Azadari in Parachinar

Sunni Muslims and notables largely attended the 6th Moharram Majlis of Shia Muslims in Parachinar marking unity of Pakistani Muslims that was no less than a slap in the face of takfiris and their facilitators.

The notables including mishran of Bangash, Maqbal, Mangal and other Pashto-speaking tribes and their religious scholars attended the mourning congregation and listened to the speech of Shia religious scholar who highlighted various aspects of sacred life and sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions who were assassinated in Karbala by the army of Yazid, the despotic tyrant of Umayyad monarchic dynasty in Karbala (Iraq).
Since 1985, it was for the first time that unmatched unity of Muslims was seen as Sunni Muslims defeated the forces of sectarianism and hate-mongering takfiris ideology.
Credit also goes to Brigadier Akhtar Aleem Khan, Political Administration and Pak Army to encourage this unmatched unity so they also won the hearts and minds of people of Parachinar by this much-needed sacred mission of bringing Pakistani Muslims closer.
