Shia Muslims celebrated Eid-e-Ghadeer with religious fervour in all over Pakistan to commemorate the declaration of Wilayah (guardianship) of Hazrat Ali (AS) by Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam.

Mosques, Imam Bargahs, houses and streets were illuminated and decorated like brides. Special prayers and congregations were held where hundreds of thousands of Shia Muslims attended. They paid rich tributes to Maula Ali (AS) acting upon the divine declaration of the Prophet of Islam that Hazrat Ali would be Maula (guardian and leader) like him for all of his followers. That declaration made Maula Ali (AS), his successor and leader.
Shiites also arranged fireworks and served special dishes to the celebrants. Play land was arranged for children to enjoy the Eid-e-Ghadeer.
In Karachi alone, more than six main programmes were organized by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Incholi, New Rizvia, Soldier Bazaar, Jogi Morh and other places.
