MWM supporters stage rallies across Pakistan to protest against U.S.
In almost all cities and towns of Pakistan, rallies were staged to protest against the new anti-Pakistan U.S. policy for Afghanistan and South Asia. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat had called for observance of Friday as a Youm-e-Murdabad America or Down with US Day.
Many rallies were staged in Karachi alone where Allama Ahmed Iqbal, Mubshir Hassan, Azhar Hasan Naqvi, Maulana Ali Anwar, Nishan Haider Sajidi, Ahsan Danish and others led. In Punjab, Allama Mubarak Moosavi, Allama Iqtidar and Nasir Abbas Shirazi led rallies. Similarly, rallies were also held in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, Parachinar, KP and Gilgit Baltistan.
The protesters rejected the anti-Pakistan jargon of the US President Donald Trump and demanded Pakistan to break off relations with the US.
They were raising slogans against the US administration and President Trump. Carrying banners and placards, they also lambasted the government’s lukewarm response to the US threats.
The protesters also burnt US flags and effigies of US President Trump to vent their anger over threatening tone of the US President.
